Inspiration that CLICKs! November 03, 2014 16:44
Inspiration. It’s something we all long for each and every day. Sometimes we NEED a little inspiration more than other times. Words of inspiration can often move us from our stagnant positions in life. According to Dictionary.com, inspiration is defined as “a person, place, experience, etc., that makes someone want to do or create something”. What inspires you? Here are a few helpful tips to get you Inspired!
1) Exercise – Get up from your computer and go for a walk. This will help to clear your mind. Get away from traffic, go to the beach, the park or some type of green space and connect a bit with natural surroundings. The mind always follows the body.
2) Seek out a mentor/friend – Have a friend over for a CLICK and a chat! Sometimes the right people are extremely inspirational. Remember to choose the movers & shakers, not the moaners & groaners! Sometimes all we need is a little push to get our creativity flowing.
3) Break your routine – This is an easy one. Take a weekend off if you are a workaholic. Try visiting a friend or family member you haven’t seen in a while. Perhaps one that is a 1-2 hours away. Sometimes the drive itself can prove inspirational. Whatever your journey, you should come back with a fresh perspective.
4) Keep a Gratitude Journal by your nightstand – By acknowledging positive things about your day you will reset your attitude. This simple act can be inspiring when you are able to look back and see all of the things that you are thankful for.
